This Legal Notice explains important age and legal requirements that apply to all purchases from Nusantara Blades. Our products are bladed items, and the laws governing them vary widely around the world. Please read this notice carefully before ordering. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Legal Notice.

1. AGE REQUIREMENT

You must be at least 18 years of age - or the minimum legal age required to purchase bladed items in your country, state, or region, whichever is higher - to place an order with us.

By completing a purchase, you confirm and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to:

  • Request proof of age or identity at any time;
  • Refuse, hold, or cancel any order where age cannot be verified or where we reasonably believe the buyer is underage.

We do not knowingly sell to minors. Orders found to be placed by minors will be cancelled and refunded.

2. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO COMPLY WITH LOCAL LAWS

Laws regarding the purchase, sale, import, ownership, possession, and carrying of bladed items differ significantly between countries, states, provinces, and even cities. Some blades that are legal in one location may be restricted or prohibited in another.

IT IS ENTIRELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, BEFORE ORDERING, TO:

  • Know and understand the laws that apply to you in your location;
  • Confirm that the specific item you wish to buy can be legally imported, owned, and possessed where you live;
  • Ensure you meet any licensing, age, or permit requirements that may apply.

If you are unsure, please check with your local authorities or customs office before placing an order. Do not order an item that is illegal in your area.

3. EXAMPLES OF RESTRICTIONS (NOT EXHAUSTIVE)

Restrictions vary, but may include (depending on your location):

  • Minimum age requirements and age-verification rules for buying or receiving knives;
  • Bans or limits on certain blade types, mechanisms, lengths, or styles;
  • Import permits or declarations for bladed items;
  • Rules on carrying blades in public.

4. OUR RIGHT TO REFUSE OR CANCEL ORDERS

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse, hold, or cancel any order:

  • Placed for a destination where the product is restricted or prohibited;
  • Where we reasonably believe the order may violate any applicable law;
  • Where age or identity cannot be verified.

If we cancel such an order after payment, we will issue a refund for that order.

5. CUSTOMS SEIZURE AND CONFISCATION

If an item is seized, confiscated, detained, or destroyed by customs authorities or any other authority due to the laws of the destination country or region, Nusantara Blades is NOT responsible and NOT liable. Such cases are NOT eligible for a refund or replacement, as the item was lawfully dispatched by us and the restriction is outside our control. Please order responsibly and only where the item is legal for you.

6. INTENDED AND LAWFUL USE ONLY

Our products are sold as tools, outdoor equipment, cultural artifacts, and collector's or display items, for LAWFUL USE ONLY. They must never be used to threaten, harm, or commit any unlawful act.

The buyer assumes full and sole responsibility for the safe, lawful, and proper storage, handling, and use of any item purchased. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nusantara Blades and its owners shall not be held liable for any injury, damage, loss, or legal consequence arising from the possession, misuse, or unlawful use of any product purchased from us.

7. INDEMNIFICATION

By purchasing from us, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nusantara Blades and its owners from any claim, liability, damage, fine, or expense (including legal costs) resulting from your violation of any law or this Legal Notice, or from your misuse of any product purchased.
